Acer campestre Lienco

Height: 1,8–2,1 m

A medium-sized tree that can reach a height of 6-10 m. It has a columnar shape. The dark green leaves are somewhat less wavy than those of other species. In spring they have a slightly bronze tint. It is resistant to powdery mildew and spider mites, and completely resistant to red spider mites. Its small, yellowish-green flowers bloom in May. The fruit is flat, two-winged, reddish when unripe, then turns light brown and usually stays on the tree until spring. It prefers a sunny to partly shaded spot and well-structured soil rich in nutrients. Its water needs are moderate, but watering is necessary after planting and during longer dry spells. It can be planted as a street tree, in green belts, narrower streets and residential neighborhoods.
